Wing It….

Hi Everyone
This week over at Stampotique is
Winged Thing
I firstly got a Tim Holtz tag and washed it with watercolour paints in blue and brown.
I then got a Die’sire embossing folder called ‘Clouds’ and once embossed I again washed  the card with watercolour paints.  I then cut some of them out and painted the outer edge a darker blue.  I then glued them as an overlay onto the tag, leaving an opening in the top of 3 of the clouds.
I then stamped out in Memento black the ‘Birdy Bonnets’ and coloured in with Watercolour paints.
I then cut them out., chopping. their legs off (sorry) to fit them behind the clouds.  The feathers I’ve had for ages (Johnson’s feathers in a bag) and thought they looked good glued to the tips of the birds derriere!
I then used a fine black pen and highlighted faux stitching around the clouds and added twine around the bottom of the tag and string through the hole at the top.
My quote this week I though just fitted the bill (no pun intended)
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken winged
bird that cannot fly.

  2. Sue, you have done it again! Both with your art, and those special quotes that always appear at the bottom of your posts! I look forward to seeing both when I see your name come up! Thanks for participating in the Stampotique Designers' "Winged Things" Challenge this week!
