12 Tags of 2013 – Tim Holtz Challenge….

Hi Everyone

Thought I would get into some of the Challenges out there in blogland and I’ve entered Tim’s.

He has just brought out some new rub ons taking stamps from his collections and turning them into transfers.  Its FAB how you can use these and something I would never have thought of – rub ons making a come back!  If you’re anything like me you have loads in a draw gathering dust and I have been going through them this week and using them on different projects thanks to Tim.  I purchased ELEMENTS.

Firstly I got a tag and sprayed a few Dylusions into a plastic container and swooshed sideways my tag, so that the ink lines would be horizontal.

I then took some of the rub ons and put them onto the tag, followed by distress inks, followed by a few more rub ons, followed by more distress ink. (Some of the rub ons are really old stash, mixing old with new). The rub ons act like a resist technique so you only need to buff it after the ink has been put on and it will come up white again.  Also I like it when the ink seeps into the backing on some of the rub ons and gives it a distressed look. I then went around the word FAITH with a grey Promarker to give it a shadow effect.

I added ribbons and pins to the top of the tag and added distress ink to some plain small flowers.  I then sprayed them with some Perfect Pearls sunflower sparkle, (goldie light twinkle effect)which got recommended to me by Sue from Stampers Gallery, which set them off FAB!

I really enjoyed making this tag and using old stuff…………………take care……..Sue x
