Quintessentially English….

Hi Everyone,

A further card I have made with the Indigo Blu ‘Pomp and Pagentry’ stamp set.

This was inspired by all the Jubilee celebrations and a card I saw in a ‘magnolia stamps’ magazine.

I have stamped everything out in WOW embossing powders.  The man and woman I have then coloured with distress inks.

I have then added beeswax over the top of the lion and the union jack flag to give them an antique feel.
The doilies I have used (2) are covered with distress ink.
The pages are watercolour paper – 20cm x 10cm (20 required)then stamped with a script stamp in walnut stain and folded over then glued together to make the fan.
The outer book I have made with strong cardboard, backing papers and the spine made from grungepaper, run through a union jack embossing folder and distress inked.
The spine holders are made from a Tim Holts die out of grungepaper and distressed again.
The whole card once put together is held open by the ribbon on each side.  Behind the ribbon are long wooden skewer sticks cut to size.
