Challenge 7, Tim Holtz….

Hi Everyone,

This week from Linda at Studio L3 comes Brushless Watercolor, A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol II, page 49, sponsored by eclectic Paperie with a $25 gift voucher.

I’ve pondered quite a bit this week with this one, wondering which of my stash of stamps would give me the best effect.
I started with watercolour card, then I’ve used the Tim Holtz, CMS010 Mona’s Sketchbook and  CMS009 I See Paris stamps, then used versa magic in sea breeze to stamp onto the watercolour card. Then the technique kicks in (which is in the book) and I’ve used stormy sky distress ink and memento in tuxedo black.

I’ve then inked all the way round with  rusty hinge distress ink.
The heart has had the same technique used.
My favoriate part of this technique has been the subtle shading over the tag and the ‘lost eerie feel’ of it.
The words are typed on the computer, (smile and the world smiles with you)printed onto parchment then WOW clear embossing powder sprinkled over the top straight away and heat embossed.
Jewels are placed down the right side.

The tag and heart are from the sizzix die happy tags #2,  finishing off with embelishments, ideology clip and eyelets.

Voila………this weeks entry.

Take care, speak soon

Sue

  1. I wish I had some time to have a go at these challenges – I've been trying to do the last three! This is a stunning card Sue, and a great example of the technique. Love it!

  2. Fantastic work on the Brushless Watercolor, Sue, and you're right– Mona Lisa is perfect for this technique. The sentiment you chose couldn't be better! Clever and gorgeous!
