Paint all the sections of the easel before putting it together.  Assemble the easel as instructed leaving off the two smallest pieces at the top of the picture until after you place your picture on it.
  1. Paint on the grey first, heat dry then place a coating of cheap PVA glue over it.  Straight away paint a layer of the white.  Take your heat gun and dry quickly.  The PVA glue will shrink and cause the white to shrink with it, giving you the weathered cracking look.  If you keep heating the paint will bubble, again giving you a different look to your easel.  this is a good effect for backgrounds to your cards.
  2. Cut out a tag and stamp ‘thinking of you’ on it and emboss with black embossing powder.  Stick this to the bottom of the easel.  Add gems.
  3. Use the white card stock and your embossing folder and emboss the ‘love’ plate.  Cut a rectangle the same size as the easel.  Glue this to the easel.
  4. Take a piece of ribbon and place it around the bottom of the easel and add buttons and twine of your choice.  Glue all the pieces to the embossed card.
  5. Take a stamp and ink up with black soot distress ink. Put to one side.  Die cut the small primitive heart and put clear embossing powder on it.  Heat up.  Do this 3 times.  This is known as triple embossing.  On the third time after heating, take the stamp with the black soot on and quickly press the stamp into the heart while hot. Let it cool.  The impression of the stamp will be transferred to the heart.  Put some wire around the heart and stick to the easel with silicone glue.
  6. Take the pre cut large hears and follow the same instructions as in (6).  Punch a hole in the left side of the heart and place a ribbon through it.  Glue a flower embellishment on the right side of the heart.  Glue the heart onto the easel.
This easel you can adapt for any occasion, add pictures of family, embellishments, make it your own. It is a nice card as well as a gift.  People usually have them in their homes as keepsakes.
